Big Fish Media and Events is actively involved with campaigning for improved marine facilites for Bunbury.
The Bunbury Marine Facilities Alliance last night launched a $30 million plan for a marine facility and commercial hub in Koombana Bay, Bunbury.
Alliance Chair David Kerr outlined the plan at a cocktail party attended by key stakeholders, local politicians and Alliance members.
Big Fish Media’s Monique Warnock is a member of the Alliance and has undertaken the public relations and media and been part of the Alliance team which has carried out extensive briefing sessions with key stakeholders and government.
The Alliance initiative aims to develop a dynamic marine industry to serve the needs of Greater Bunbury, assist in the revitalisation of the Bunbury central business district, stimulate the Koombana Bay foreshore and attract tourists to the region.
Central to the plan is construction of a 250 boat marina at the Koombana Bay Sailing Club site which would generate demand for commercial marine businesses to establish at Casuarina Harbour, resulting in a vibrant marine hub.
Stage one of the plan is to secure $1 million in funding for environmental studies and engineering design.
The Alliance was formed in May 2012 and has 24 members including 10 clubs and 14 businesses.
